Chris "Montana" Merritt Hometown: Montana finished his Bachelor's of Arts in Anthropology with an Archaeology emphasis from the University of Montana in 2004. The last two summers he has worked as an Archaeological Technician for the United States Forest Service in Ely, NV and Salt Lake City, UT. His thesis is looking at the spread and consumption of locally produced pottery across the Mormon Domain of the Great Basin during the pioneer period (1847-1900). As part of his thesis research Dr. Tim Scarlett and Chris performed an excavation during the 2005 field season at a pottery shop in downtown Salt Lake City. |
Joyanne Schneider Hometown: Joyanne is a Junior dual majoring in Law and Society and Chemical Engineering. After finishing at MTU she would like to continue her education by attending law school. Ultimately, she would like to open a practice of her own. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies, and ice skating. |
Mary Koski Hometown: Gwinn, MI Mary is a second year student majoring in Social Science with a secondary education concentration. Besides 4S she participates in the Ambassadors. She would like to become a high school social studies or biology teacher. In her spare time she enjoys watching the Detroit Red Wings, Tigers, and Lions, reading, listening to music, visiting friends, playing basketball, spending time with family, and taking walks with her dog. |
Sean Pease Hometown: Minneapolis, MN Sean is a third year Social Science student with a secondary education concentration and a minor in Earth Sciences. Along with being a 4S member he also volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Sean enjoys alternative music, many different sports, and complaining about the current state of our government. |
