Winter Carnival 2006
Michigan Tech's Blue Key National Honor Fraternity is known world-wide for it's annual 'Winter Carnival'.
During the week of Winter Carnival, and the month preceding Carnival, there are many
different events. These events range from: All-nighter, month-long statue building, queen coronation,
stage revue, curling, human sled dog races, beard competition, ice fishing, broomball,
ice bowling, and even world record breaking!
This year, for the first time, the Social Science Student Society participated in the All-Nighter
statue building contest. Though our statue came in last place, and none of us
had a great time, we learned a valuable lesson:
Building statues isn't easy!
