IMPROVING THE WATERFRONT PARK: THE ROCK CHANNEL SEGMENT

Developing the Huron Creek Watershed Management Plan

The existing rock channel is part of Waterfront Park’s history and therefore it is recommended that the structure be kept with only minor improvements such as reinforcing the walls where needed, removing the weir, cleaning the bed of debris and possibly add large cobble, and re-vegetating the banks with native plants as specified in the vegetation portion of the watershed management plan.
