Due Assn 9:   Judicial Opinion:  The class period after judging you must submit one Judicial Opinion for one of the cases you judged.  For this assignment you will:

a)      Write a draft opinion setting out how you (as yourself) would handle/rule in the matter before you – what arguments were persuasive, what arguments did not sway you.  I do not expect you to do more research on the case other than read the case briefs submitted by each party.  This opinion should be between 1 and 3 pages (double spaced)

b)      Draft a short biography (approx one page) about the justice you represent, it should include the obvious pertinent information as well as some analysis of his or her judicial philosophy.  Please cite your sources.

c)      Describe, as well as you can how the justice you were assigned would handle this case and why you think this. If you feel there is no way to reasonably predict his or her stance on this matter explain why as well.

Note:  There will not be a final exam in this class during exam week.
