Mary Durfee in SicilyMary Durfee is the resident political scientist, with specialized training in international relations and comparative public policy. She teaches international law, US foreign policy, and international environmental technology policy. She is the co-author with James N. Rosenau of an international relations book, Thinking Theory Thoroughly, now in its second edition. Her central research interest is the management of the Great Lakes of North America. More generally, she is interested in water policy. In that context, she has also done work on pollution prevention. She has been a consultant to the EPA's Science Advisory Board.
